I've got the head off and am ready to pull the jugs. Is there a good way to keep those two little rubber bits that go with the cam chain tensioner from falling down into the bottom end? Also, I'm having a hard time telling exactly where they are, or where they're supposed to be.

These 2 bits, on the left:

VERY important, they keep the tensioner shaft from spinning in the top of the cranckcase. I wiped an upper case when mine came loose. Can set them in place with some heavy grease when re-assembling the top end. Once the cylinder is down, the won't move.

I used contact cement w/ no issues.I'm REALLY looking to find a small rubber cam chain roller They're TOUGH to find !

hello so I am restoring an old cl350 and my pics are what are left completely of the cam chain tensioner the only parts left beside the like new chain, and i was wondering if i would have to replace everything including the metal bar. and also where would i get everything i need for this? P.S. this is my very first motorcycle rebuild so I don't know much, I have rebuilt a car before but that is it. I also included a picture of when i first got it minus the exhaust pipes and where it is now. also everything on the frame now has been tested and cleaned and then put back on. except for the wheels because i need to respoke them.

You are going to need to replace all the tensioner components. Not sure if the front slier is still available from Honda. The tensioner unit with the wheels is no longer available. Most replace with a KA Performance Slipper unit. And it's good insurance to replace the cam chain, as well.
If you want to save a little cash and go with OEM parts, this is what I did:

has anyone ever had any dealings with http://www.cmsnl.com/ because they have the parts i need apparently in stock and i was wondering if i should buy from them.
