How about some socket button head screws??? That's what I plan to use.

That would work too. I just do a lot of track days, so I need to be ablet to get things apart quick. pop the 4 jesus clips and the seat is off.

This thread has seamed to died a bit............ Anybody got any brainstorms or race tricks to get these suckers mounted?? I've seen a few trick ones.. But to see what you've all done would be cool...

I was looking to try to keep my hinges & ability to open it.... The one good way was to use the front half of a OEM seat pan with the hinges & lock still in tacked.

Just cutting it off behind the hinge & lock... But shit a OEM seat pan aint cheap, even if its a ash tray lookalike contest winner........ And theres no way Im chopping up my no where near dead stock seat....

So step up punks & get to posting... This is a big ??? on alot of our minds............

THNX.........

"Usually" cafe seats aren't designed to hinge open. If you have to have hinges, then head to your local hardware store and dig around to build something. Each seat is pretty much different, so you need to have the seat section and see how it would work hinged. Just be creative.....

I built my seat to mirror the frame of the bike so I just welded on a piece of bent rod to fit into the stock latch when the seat is in place. The seat fits so well that the latch is all I need to hold it in place. I may eventually add some hinges on the other side after trim the tubing at the front.
