Hey guys my name is Adam and I'm from East Texas. I've been surfing around this sight since I bought my 1977 RD400D and I figured I'd join up so I can get some feed back on some questions I might have in the future when I start to Cafe out my Yameehaa. I really like whats going on around here, lots of great work, hopefully one day I can add mine to the collection.

Can do TexasStar:

For starters this is my first full built bike. It's a custom street fighter nicknamed "Brute"

Hysosung GT650R frame
SV1000 motor & Trans.
Custom Pipes w/ Screaming Eagle baffle
GSXR Seat
Katana Forks
Suzuki Tank
Ebay Headlight
Home-made wiring harness (which sucked more than licking a cactus)
and odds and ends from parts I've collected over the years

And this is my new toy 1977 Yamaha RD400D.

I bought it off of a Doctor in Henderson, TX who's wife said he had too many toys and that he had to sell some off. Got it for a steal at $3,000, with all original parts including the freaking headlight that got replaced as soon as I took it out for it's first night ride.

Plans for it aren't as drastic as some of the full out break downs that I've been staring at on here, but I still want to make some changes.
Cafe Bars, Cafe tail (mounted to stock mounts), updated/hidden blinkers, updated wiring harness & electronic switches (old ones feel a bit too sloppy), larger headlight, get rid of the rear fender, and I'm on the fence for some new pipes but no matter what they'll be wrapped.

I got started with bikes by painting them for friends and over the years I've painted plenty of them so the paint scheme is definitely in the air, a few ideas I've had so far.

That's what Iv'e got so far, currently I'm sitting around waiting on my college professors to get so sick and tired of me that they give me a pass that allows me not to have to back to class until August. Once they let me go though I'll probably start turning wrenches and spraying some paint.
