Idea on mounting a seat, need opinions

modifiedamerican

Been Around the Block
so over the winter i plan on trying to make a steel bump seat for my kz750. i was trying to come up with easy mounting ideas, that will make the seat easy to remove. so that i can get to my battery, air filters ext. i was thinking about using four 1/2"x2" clevis pins. id put a washer, then pin. then through the seat, then through the frame rails.

or maybe something like this.

although the clevis pins look like a better idea. what does everyone think?

Better to post a pic of the seat and where it will be mounted. I would use flush fitting Dzus fasteners myself but it depends on the mounting point.

I thought about doing something similiar but I was going to put a spring between the washer and frame so that it's always held tight to the bike.

My mounting method is simular. Check out the bottom of this page.
