ideas on securing new seat?

How do you guys secure new seats, i just made a new pan however at the moment not 100% sure how i am going to secure it, it is on a '79 CB900... if anyone has a link, i was sure there would be a thread on this but i cant see it? thanks!

Currently I'm using a cinch strap to secure my OEM seat since the hinges are shot. Just like some of the old CB750s. (I have a 81 KZ650)
