Identifying cb500 model

I'm trying to identify the model of the cb500 I'm working on so I can start getting the correct parts I need but having some difficulty as the engine starts in CB500E-10 which is the KO model but the frame starts with CB500 20 which according to the sohc4 website is the K1 model. Does anyone have any insight into this.

Can u post some pics? What year is the frame?

It's ok now had some luck asking on the sohc4 forums apparently the frame and engines on the cb's don't match up as Honda was developing the newer ones for America while producing the uk equivalent and sometimes they used mix matched frames and engines so I'm not going to worry about it anymore. The bike was first registered in 1974 for the uk.

This was true for many 70's bikes. To complicate things, sometimes they are titled by the vin on the motor.
