Ignition switch options?

Gettin my life together. One bolt. At a time.
My stock ignition switch is busted. Only getting power to two of the 5 poles. I don't want to overload my switched power line so I wanna get a properly functioning turn key ignition switch. I would LIKE to use the original key but if I have no choice, I guess I'll ditch it. Have any of you guys replaced ignition switches and kept the original key? Also, what are the minimum requirements for a new one and are there slimline switches out there?
 
Depending on how the bike is wired up, you could use relays for the lights and ignition and that would leave very little load through the switch
 
I'm trying to keep it pretty close to stock. But if I have to make adjustments now is the time to do it. I'll draw up what I've got going on when I get home to give you a better idea.
