Was wondering if I can get your thoughts on this bike I found
I know alot of you have older Hondas and was wondering if it has enough potental to fix it up
Its a Honda CL175 the guys says that honda cant track the year by the serial number but they figure its between a 65 and 69 and that only 200 were brought into Canada forsale. I think its a 72 from the research I have done

I havent seen it yet going to see it tomorrow or the next day but have talked to the owner
I need to know how available parts are and are they costly for this model of bike

What I know is the guy is the 2nd owner and has never had it running

I can see its missing head light, speedo, turn signals, side covers, and a tanks badge, battery.

Also looks like it needs new exaust and shocks.

tires , seat and tank look like they are in good shape

Oh yeah and the guy selling it is asking $150 and is open to offers

IS IT WORTH IT?????

In addition to the visible damage, you've got guaranteed rusted, pitted forks under the ears/gaiters. Seat's probably shot. Basically looks like you are paying for a frame, title, and questionable motor. I picked up a cb400 parts bike for $50 that was in better shape, just saying bro.

In my opinion its a rusted no.

Personally, id offer $100 if it has a title. The whole thing is salvageable. Forks are easy to come by and the motors are pretty universal from 69 to 72.

And FYI - 68 was the first year for the CB / cl 175's.... also the only year for the slopers. So that one is between 69 to 72. There was a LOT more than 200 sold in Canada.

Hope this helps!
