Is there a proper way to remove carb diaphragms?

Useful Idiot

Been Around the Block
I lucked into a set of 360 carbs with intact diaphragms, but they seem to be stuck to the carb body. The carbs look like they've been sitting for a while. I sprayed the slide with some PB Blaster and they've been sitting over night. I'm worry about ripping the dia's when I try to remove them.

You guys know of a safe(ish) why to get 'em out?

Thanks

On my BMW CV carbs (Bing) you take the cap off the carb (4 screws) and the diaphragm/slide just lifts right off the carb body. Nothing holding it down except the cap that sandwiches the flange of the diaphragm to the carb body.

Slowly so as not to tear them. I've come across a few that have been "glued" in place buy old fuel. Just be gentle and they'll come right out.
