You are bidding on a bike that was originally shipped to Gene's Sport Center in Mitchell, South Dakota. The dealership no longer exists and this is the last bike Jack the former owner has left. It comes with a certificate and original MSO that list it as a milestone in America motorcycle history. The certificate reads that this bike is one of the frist one hundred motorcycles delivered from Kawasaki Motorcycle manufacturing plant at Lincoln, Nebraska. Kawasaki is the first of the major world manufacturers to produce machines in the United States. It is signed by Fred. F. Masek and dated February 1975.

The bike is just as it came from the factory, the only flaws are some brake fluid that leaked from the front master cylinder and down the bars, it discolored the top tree, risers and control. It also left a stain on the gold stripe on the left side of the tank. Outside of this, the bike is like new, the motor has never been fired, the battery was never installed and it is a piece of museum ready history of a time when the major metrics were looking to produce bikes in the U.S. The bike and condition speak for themselves, you may not find another in this shape.

The original certificate, MSO and all documentation go with the bike.

Ummm. Wow! I wonder what the reserve on it is? That thing looks like it is cherry. Might be a nice bike for some rich guy that wants to stick it in his 48 car garage so all his friends can come over and look at it while sipping on cognac and smoking 100$ cuban cigars. OR... a bad ass bike for a real enthusiast who could simply polish it up a bit, swap some new tires and oil and ride it like it was meant to be...

Bet on at least honing the cylinders and giving it new piston rings. You could get lucky though.

Cheers - boingk

Side note: my friend's dad helped design the gun they built the A-10 warthog around.

Nice! You have to be proud of a gun that makes the military go "Wow, we need to make a plane this gun can fit in so it can fly..."

Wow, that is less than an hour from me, and I know Brian Klock. Thats a lot nicer than my kz400, but I would probably be stoned to death if I tore that one apart like mine.
