Half way to Lloydminister was treed, no problems but the other half was an evil cross wind.

Whats that name for the road fucked feeling you get after a long trip like that? not your ass but all up in your head. Seriously, not cool.

Do it again on Friday...

That's pretty epic! Do it solo? Much easier and less screwy to the head when you ride with someone.

Yep, I have been switching between screen and no screen to see which is better for long rides. I am finding no screen is better for handling of the bike, but my neck gets tired from helmet buffeting at anything above 65-70 mph. the wind helps take pressure off the wrists too with no screen, with a screen better gas mileage, less helmet buffeting but the bike wants to get a bit squirley in cross winds, behind transports etc. I can only amagine what the big ol windjammer would be like. 1100 km is about the most I would want to do in a day unless I had to get somewhere fast. If it was all freeway it would just suck, but I have done it to get to WV etc. Secondary roads take longer but seem to keep you less bored for sure.

My dad rode up a few days earlier to ride down with me. Going back will be solo!

It was all main highway, Saskatchewan has a 110km speed limit, so a 120km your still way safe from the cops.

I don't think I would ride a bike without a fairing or wind screen any more, its just so much better than being covered in bugs, pelted with rain and 220km+ rocks coming at your face from on coming trucks. Besides, I start riding to work at 0C in the morning where the afternoon is very nice to ride home.
