Katana Jetting

CALfeRacer

Fat man on a little bike
I just bought a 1990 GSX600F Katana as my new "daily." The bike came with a Two Brothers Full Stainless 4-1 exhaust, and a K&N filter. The idle is pretty high, at about 3500rpm. If I adjust it lower then that it will die. There is a well sized exhaust leak where the muffler meets the pipe, and the breather tube from the top of the engine to the airbox is MIA. The PO said that he rebuilt the carbs recently and that they had the stock jets. I'm wondering if I'll need to re-jet for the changes (don't worry, I'll fix the leak and replace the breather first) and then sync, or just sync them up after fixing the problems. If I do have to re-jet, I found a forum with a general jet rule for an XS1100, but I was curious if the same guide will work here (link at the bottom). The bike does run good, no bogging or hesitation as far as I can tell. Thanks for any advice!
