Alright, well I'll give it a shot when I get home with the Katana stem. If I screw up I still have the CBR lower and stem that I'll just get machined down.
Finally got some time to look into getting this motor working....very curious what it sounds like with those wicked chambers
Got the petcock cleaned up and replaced the lines to the carbs....put gas in the tank...fixed a leak in the middle carb....put air in the tires and the air shifter. Also mounted the wheelie bar upside down so we could use it to push the machine along for a bump start (the kick start isn't catching). But the plugs weren't sparking for some reason, messed around with the coils but ran out of time. Here's a short vid that shows a little more of the machine...we'll get her going soon can't wait ;D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_O50A2iBQis
No real West End Boyz rides this season. We've been scattered all over the place with no leadership it seems. Too bad... those were fun times! 8)
The fall ride never materialized too. Again... really too bad!! I still have that pic of our bikes together on that first one. It's one of my favourites! 8)
Right after I recorded this we found our problem CDI was toast. No problem, Drewski has bins of H2 stuff so we found a working set. We also freed up the clutch which was sticking....for some reason Drewski was a little nervous starting this beast with a clutch that may or may not work....wimp ;D ;D So we should have noise in our next vid 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13wUEzmz6-0&feature=youtu.be
That body is designed to fit on the H2 frame....we're just trying to fire up the engine 'cause we want to confirm it runs....and more important we want to hear it with those nasty chambers ;D Then it will be off to get the reed cages and VM38 carbs installed. I will probably have my suspension guy set me up properly given the ZRX forks and KYB shocks were designed to work on a much heavier bike. I hope I've got the $$$'s to get it all done for the spring.
