Been Around the Block
hey not 100% on how to run the AC generator into the layout :-\, working on a 1981 yamaha SR250 (sure it would be the same for any other make and model though) do i still need the voltage regulator and the CDI unit in the wirring ??? thanks for any help

Jon

You need everything but the starter and its solenoid...do you have a wiring diagram for your bike?

For a cb750, but this may help. just eliminate the wires to the starter and the solenoid.

Is kickstart whirring or do you want wiring for electric start removal?

CDI 'works' the ignition, without it your not going anywhere
If your keeping battery (may have to?) your going to need regulator and rectifier .
When you remove starter motor, you can only remove heavy wiring, solenoid (relay) and starter button switch.
You can fit a smaller battery but it sound like you should get bike running good before you go any further
Oh, go back to first post and change title to wiring
