Kickstart problem? Cj360

My poor little 76 Cj' keeps giving me problems.

Whenever i go to kick over the bike theres complete loss of compression. I can basically use my hand and turn over the motor or atleast thats what it feels like im doing? What the hell happened?! I had compression going over the timing and it was running less then a week ago, now im completely lost. I hope i made this clear,




*May this be caused by be taking my clutch cable off?

It's probably the clutch adjustment. Pull off the front sprocket cover and I bet it stops happening.

Readjust the clutch lever tension as per the manual and that should fix the problem. The other option is that the kicker gears aren't engaging. Let's hope it's item number one because the latter option means you need to take the engine apart.

Awesome! It must be that because i just ripped my old cable off because it snapped on me so im waiting for one to be shipped my way. As of right now its just sitting there with the cover off. I appreciate the response i would be so lost without this forum. I've been running into too many problems i dont understand and im glad i have a place to do some research. Great stuff.
