Kill Switch function

OK guys I need a little help with the functioning of my kill switch. I'm not too good with electricals so apologies n advance.

The bike is a 69 or 70 CB350 twin. The wiring diagram shows a live (black) wire running to the kill switch after which it turns to black/white, splits and runs to each coil. SO the kill switch functions by allowing continuity to the coils and kills the 12v feed when the the switch is activated. So far so good.

Here's the problem. I have rewired my entire bike from scratch i.e. made my own wiring loom. So far everything has worked but I have found out that I have not wired my kill switch correctly. I bought a nondescript cheap made in China kill switch off ebay. I had it (incorrectly) wired as positive 12v into the switch and then the feed out going to earth. It turns out that the chinese kill switch is wired so that when it is in the "run" position, there is no continuity. So while the switch is in "run", there is no flow of electricity through the switch. When it is in "kill" position, there is flow. So when I activate the kill switch it certainly kills the motor but it does it by blowing the fuse!

So my question is, is there a way I can wire this kill switch (without going into the internals of the switch mechanism itself) to work when there is no continuity in the "run" position?? To me it seems backwards!!

only if you used a relay which is more troble than it is worth :( get a new switch that has the correct output, it will be well worth it in the end ;) Andy.....
