kill switch works reverse

Can anyone help me tackle this one? Completly rebuilt 71 CB350 K3. Aftermarket switches. My kill switch works in reverse. I purchased the switch from Dimecity and its a solidly built switch. Bike will run in both off positions and shut down in the run position. I have tried two other switches with single off and on positions and I get the same reverse result. Bike runs absolutely fine and I have been riding with no issues. I have the stock wiring harness with only the starter motor and the front brake leads disconnected. Any ideas? I have the switch's single red lead hooked up to the coils and the two black leads hooked into the black ignition line. Switch works the excat same if I reverse the lines.

I did the same thing. DCC sells a Grounding-style switch that is common on many bikes. that means that in the OFF position what should be happening is that the VCC is connected to Ground. If it's the one i'm thinking, it's the blue one that looks kinda like the OEM honda and has 3 wires.

It works this way on many bikes but not the CB350, 360 etc.

On the CBs in the ON position, the coils are connected to VCC, in the OFF position, the coils are not connected.

What you need is a normally-closed 2-wire switch. i can't recall where i got mine. i'll see if i can find that info when i get home tonight.

EDIT: Stock wiring harness or at least a fair reproduction of it? It could be that you've got some other funky situ because of the rework.

Maybe start by testing that switch when removed from the harness. Current should flow in the on position, and not flow in the OFF position. It may simply be that you have a normally-open switch instead of the normally closed.

EDIT 2, I think the switch you have can be retro-fit to work. Possibly. every way i can think of to do this would make a quick lunch of your battery or fuses. But i'm probably missing something
