Knee dents on a scrambler

I keep seeing dimpol style and manx style tanks on scrambler cafes. Don't the high pipes interfere with being able to use the knee dents? I've never ridden a bike with high pipes.

The pipes sweep up and behind you not directly where your knees go.

If you're bow legged, it doesn't interfere at all. If you're not bow legged, make sure you have heat shields. If you actually off road, the heat shields will keep you shins from getting baked....

No they don't. My exhaust has a heat shield and my leg is against most of the time I am riding. My knees are against the tank.

Personally, I think most knee dents are just cosmetic. The only real useful purpose is for racing to tuck in more.
