Hot Rod

My brother and I have been splitting the cost of this project, the bike will be my nephew's first bike. We wanted to teach him a thing or two about mechanics and just basic hand tools, so we thought a motorcycle project would be a good place to start.

List of parts
Gators
Acewell Gauge
Daytona Seat from Dim City
Cafe racer headlight and brackets I'm not sure of the brand name
Dyna electronic ignition
Starter Clutch repair kit
pod filters
clubman handlebars

We tore the bike down to the frame painted it with this roll bar paint from Crappy Tire, worked pretty good. Now the build is about getting the engine problems sorted out and ever new bushing and part cleaned up or replaced. We are going to go with a red Kawi color of some sort from the 70's haven't picked one yet.

Needs some shocks and a set of after market gauges and switches.

I have many other picture but they are too big for your server, and there is no way I'm going to resize them all and post them.

I used plastic, (puck board) for support under the seat, I was able to use the factory hinges and brackets for the seat.

Awesome, I really like the KZ650's. That was my alternative choice to the GL I ended up with. Good on you for starting a project to teach the next generation. I wish my dad/uncle/grandfather had done the same for me, and I hope to one day do it for someone.

My nephew checking out the seat, he was doing the electronics installations this night.
