kz650 cafe racer seat with stock seat pan

Anybody try to attempt to make a cafe racer style seat on the stock pan to use the hinge and lock?

Sure. Just pull off the foam. Fiberglass or weld on a bump stop. Paint and reupholster.

Hell I have one for a kz400 I might sell.

how did you attach the bump? I just want to get this right

Just wrap the fiber glass around the bottom of the seat pan. It'll stick if you give it a clean and rough surface.
