LED lights

Been Around the Block
hey hows it goin guys?

I recently picked up a mini chrome speedo for a buddy of mines bobber project and told him I would wire it up for him. Only thing is i have never actually wired LED lights before!! I believe the speedo has, oil, nuetral, signal and high beam indicators. The bike is for his wife and she's a new rider so they want it to be half safe for her. I can wire it no prob at all, but just wondering about what sort of "resistors?" I should use? Would I need to wire one in for each light? This question has probably been beat to death on here, but i couldnt find anything i was lookin for in a quick search and wanna go over and help him git er done soon! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks - Tunz

If you're adding the LED lights yourself, you'll probably need a separate resistor for each. The resistance of the resistors will depend on how powerful the LEDs are, but if they're pretty average LEDs, not super-bright ones or anything, you'll only need low value resistors, such as a 470 ohm. The resistors are basically only there to protect the LEDs from very high current flow.
