LED Turnsignal Problems. Let's put it to bed.

Been Around the Block
Gentlemen,
I have scoured DTT and Ebay and the internet and cannot find the simple solution to led turn signals.

Here is what we know:
The draw from the led's aren't enough to fire the flasher.
When there is enough wattage all four lights tend to flash at the same time even when wired properly.
Load resistors generate tons of heat.
So, there should be a simple solution to this problem.

It seems that the 2 prong led flashers that are a direct replacement do not work correctly.

I have even tried wiring up relays that would fire on the old flasher but have had no luck.

So, what is the magic bullet? I am sure there are plenty of people running led only turn signals on their '70s bikes. What are the parts we need to make it happen?
do you need a low wattage blinker AND relays? I would turn backflips if somebody could point me to the correct parts.

would this item do it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-prong-12-Volt-Flasher-LED-turn-signals-FREE-adapter-/330525482499?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf4da9e03

I used a 3 prong electronic flasher from auto zone! They don't need a certain load to work and Honda threw in an extra ground wire in the harness that is perfect for that 3rd prong.

Ditto this, works perfectly. A lot of people put inline resistors in but this sort of defeats the purpose of using LEDs on these old bikes.

If all 4 indicators are flashing at the same time, you have a wiring problem.

I ran into the same problem with my 175. Problem was the single indicator light in the speedo. It was crossing both signals so all 4 would flash.

I found the flasher you guys were talking about today at Autozone. I used a FL32 electronic 2 prong flasher. Works great, kinda.

I was having a little problem with all four beginning to flash at the same time. I pulled the indicator bulb from the speedo and it works perfectly.

Rich, were you able to work out a solution for this problem to keep the indicator light?

Nope, I was that idiot riding a half mile after a turn with my signals on.......

If you add a seperate indicator light for each side, you should be good.

I had the same issue with the indicator light in the gauge crossfeeding both sides of the bike. I wired a diode inline on each side of the indicator light and it works like a charm.
