Depends on what function you care to lose....

Voltage regulator is there, Starter solenoid, Looks like ignition CDI unit if your bike is CDI...not sure on that model...

So if you remove the CDi, the bike won't run, so then you don;t need the starter solenoid, voltage regulator or battery........But if you want to ride it, those parts have to remain. You can move them, but the function is necessary.

Not many electronics on that era bike that extra. There is no radio or other fancy devices...Electrics on these old bikes was just what was needed to run....Nothing was "Extra". If you have kick start, and don't want electric start, the starter solenoid is removable, but not much else.

Does the bike run and run well? If not I would focus on getting it roadworthy and reliable and ride it for the next couple of months and work out what you really want to change.

Yep she runs. I figured I needed mostly all of it and plan on just relocating as much as possible under the seat or up near the carbs, but just wanted to know (besides possibly replacing the fuses in favor of more modern fuses) if there were any other "modern" improvements I could make. A new flasher unit for my LED signals is in there somewhere too, no?

i would definatelly pull all that nasty darn stuff outta there!! best to put it all in a small as possible air-tite enclosure.keep it from getting dirty
