A friend of mine had this truck in his back yard for a few years now with no work bei ng done to it, so I started asking him how much he'd sell it for. He eventually said I could have it for $300. And I couldn't resist. The body has numerous cancerous areas, but they're all repairable. The motor looks good and it's not stuck. I'm hoping some fresh electricity and a little go juice down her throat will get her running. Also a complete brake rebuild, wooden bed floor, steel wheels with mini-moons... You get the picture.

The goal here is cheap and easy. I just want a running old truck.

Sweeeeeet!!!
You don't see too many of the slabsides. Everybody wanted/wants a stepper.
If you don't eventually start a build thread for her, I will drive over there and slap you around! :D

Thanks guys. I'm excited. I found a non correct hood with much less rust for a benjamin. Shipping is going to cost 170 though. Also I have another pic of the truck.

Here you can see the damage to the hood better...

And here's a bit of inspiration.

I hope to have her home sometime next week! Then hopefully running soon after.

Very nice. My uncle let a 61 Ford long bed, Y-block, 3 on the tree, rust away then sold it for scrap. Never would sell it to me. Glad to see you get to save one. Cheers!
