London ON and area meet up

reds

Build bikes to ride, not to look at!
Hey, just wanted to see how many people in Canada's dirty south would be interested in doing a DTT meet up. We got a pretty good crew that get together for rides right now and thought we would see who else is out there and possibly do a weekly meet or meet and ride like a lot of the bigger cities do.

All bikes welcome. Shoot the shit about bikes, shows, swaps, wife swaps, parts and knowledge network..........

If you are interested, just post back on this thread and we'll get something hooked up.

We can meet at Timmies for coffee, a bar/restaurant, Sparta or Grand Bend Racetracks............. So shoot your thoughts

A little far but I'd be up for it if my bikes ready in time. I'm in Kitchener. I was wondering if there are many guys around my area in DTT.

When I was making the move from Toronto to London 10+ years ago, I lived in Kitchener for about 6 months and there used to be a bike night held at one of the local bars and drew a huge crowd of bikes. A lot of Harleys, but quite a few other bikes too. If they still have that going you might run into some similar minded people that may or may not be on DTT.
When your bikes done, come on down anytime. As I said in my post, we got a pretty good group of guys already who are always up for a ride.

Sweet. I don't know what bar that would be but there's always lots of guys at Timmies on Ottawa. Have nevwer seen any vintage racers though. Yeah I'd love to come down there and meet up sometime. Hoefully not next spring. lol.

Hey man, I am in Cambridge. I am always looking for people to ride with. The "Howl and the Moon" bar on Victoria St. use to hold a bike night, I don't know if they still do or not.

Yup, I do believe that was the place. Only went once as my stay in Kitchener was short. No offense LR, but Kitchener is a fucking hole and that's not good coming from this Scarborough boy! Lol

lol. I hear ya but I grew up here so it's home. Also depends on the crowd and places you frequent.

Hey Garage Guerrilla, we should meet up sometime. I have a business in Cambridge. Where abouts are you?

So, what's up with London? Any DTT rides happen last season? Anything planned for next season? I'd be willing to make the trip up. I'm only an hour away so.......... I'd rip up that way if I wasn't working.

Any plans?

There is always something going on. We don't have an event calender set out or anything. We just fly by the seat of our pants. If there is an event going on in southern ontario, we usually ride to it. There a good group of us in London that are into vintage bikes and get together for rides all the time. Sometimes we just tear it up around the city and hit a patio or hit the country roads and end up wherever we end up. There will be some friday nights down to Sparta race track.
This post was more to see if anyone was interested in doing a regular "thursday" or "friday nite" summer get together and winter beers more than just our usual crowd we ride with now much like other cities do. Anytime you want to head up, just shoot me a pm. would love to see that little cb350 you picked up. The more bikes the merrier

Cool.....will do.

My 350 ain't much (especially compared to what some of you guys are on - yowza) and I don't have the knowledge/skill you guys have but I'd love to rip around with you guys nonetheless.

I know Chris H. well enough (which I believe rides with you guys) from WAY back in the good old high-school days but haven't actually seen him in at least 15 years maybe? Shit..............it's been a while.

Cheers.

I'll bring that 350 up.

Yeah, Chris is always up for riding and right into bikes. He'll have his RZ500 on the road this year.
As for the 350, glad to see it's been treating you well so far. I was gonna go look at that bike as I needed a fill-in or beater bike to ride as I've been too busy to get at my project bike. It looked good and clean in the kijiji pics. I ended picking up a GS650E for $800 to fill in and with only a couple minor issues have been pretty happy so far.
Where abouts are you? And if you need a hand with anything just shoot a pm
