I am in search of a part for my 1973 honda cb450. its inside the left crankcase and connects to my clutch cable. Searched high and low and still no luck. please help me!! the part number is 22810-283-000
The dreaded clutch actuator. You wouldn't happen to be running a 530 o-ring chain would ya?
Good luck on the search...luckily I found one on here, but they are getting harder to come by. If I see anything pop up i'll let ya know.
If you're just in need of the cable barrel stay the end of the clutch actuator, try taking one off of a bicycle v brake. Used one on my 450, and it has held thru commuting for well over a year now.
You need to use an offset sprocket and modify the actuator but running an oring chain is possible. There is a write up on hondatwins forum and several members there that have done the mod including myself... I wrote brief info in my build on here.
As far as finding the part., a lot of scrappers and parters will leave that in the cover. Scout eBay for that side cover and look at the pics to see if its included. That is probably your best bet... Good luck.
