Lossa Seat Hoop

Coast to Coast
Just got my Lossa seat hoop.
I got the 8" hoop. It looks like the end is wider than the diameter.
It's pretty long to begin with, so I'll have to take several inches off to match my seat length.
Quality made, and priced well compared to DCC and BCR.
Here's some pics for anyone who's interested.

Looks nice. I got lucky. I had my local shop bend up some 1" and asked for 4" radius 180 degree bends. I got 2 plus several straight lengths for 40 bucks. One of the loops fits perfectly as the seat hoop.

Sounds like it.
I checked maybe a dozen places in the area, and no one said they had small enough dies.
Most places didn't even know what DOM tubing was.....

Yea I asked and we walked out and sitting on the rack was a 4"(or 4.5?) die. He said it might wrinkle on the inside with such a tight radius. I said keep making bends till it doesnt... He laughed and said ok.

Yes i believe he is . nice hoop are you adding a small section in them ( into the the frame and into your hoop) to help give it more support and welding surface ?

Looks like LOSSA doesn't know what DOM is either since that is a definite seam of HREW tubing there.

How can you tell without looking inside? From what I've read, dom isn't seamless.

so is ther a weight diff or strength diff ? either way think its a nice looking hoop ! OP did they have any thing that came with the hoop or just the hoop ? just wondering if they where for any bike or you asked for one the way you wanted for your bike?

They offer two different sizes. I chose the bigger one, but still used a hydraulic jack to stretch it a half inch.
