Lost My Keys ... Stranded in Montreal ... Now flashing the "dotheton" Bat signal

well, i really did it this time....

Rode out to Montréal over the weekend. Sunday night i went out and somehow lost my only set of keys. The ironic part is i desperately tried to get a spare set before if left Toronto, but ran out of time to get it done.

So I was up all night waiting for CAA to tow the bike back to the hotel. Called a locksmith to help. He ended up being 90 years old and blind, and couldn't do shit. He couldn't even pick the fuel tank lock!!! I picked it later with a knife.

So I called around. Honda dealership told me that they can get me a new ignition with key... but only in about 2 weeks. Most locksmiths won’t do it. I finally found a guy who says he can come by and cut a key on the spot if I can get the serial number off the ignition, which I will remove for him. Hopefully this works out okay.

If it doesn't, I think I will try to remove the ignition, because the front wheel is locked, and then hotwire the bike to ride home.

I would love to hear some opinions, advice and, of course, pity!!!!

The good news is, if you are going to get stuck in a city, Montreal is a pretty good place for that to happen.

I'm a Locksmith.
Just had a guy in with an '89 Yamaha 4 wheeler Ign, no keys.
Looked it up on the computer and had him on his way in no time.
