lowering piston type forks on cl350

I know they have fork seal. Just pay attention to what your ordering I believe different years have different sizes. Pj wrong or right?

Fordmike.. thats exactly what I was talking about. Its easy and safe. And as far as your restore goes, Get yourself a big sketch pad... draw out your ideas and use it to take note at the same time. It's how I always do it. Makes it a little easier to visualize.

Thanks for the help guys. I have another question. I love the look of the clip-ons, but I'm afraid they may be too low for me since I'm a pretty tall guy. I was thinking of running clubmans or even a drag bar. Then, upon searching around here,I found a pic that looked like it may be a solution for my issue. How about if I do lower my front end a bit like previously discussed, & I was to attach the clip-ons above the tripletree? Am I talking out of my ass or might this work?

If you're a tall guy and you put the clip ons above the tree thats only going to get them closer to you and put you in more of an upright position.

I see what you mean after sitting on the bike this weekend & feeling out where the bars would sit. I've only ridden this bike(many years ago) in stock form. I think the clip-ons in the usual spot or clubmans would suit me well. Gotta fab or pick up some rearsets too. I now see how they & low bars work together quite well.

If youre a tall guy, and install clip-ons without rearsets of some sort it may cause you some comfort issues. It really scrunches you up on the bike. For stock position foot controls, drag or low rise tracker bars may be your best bet.

Yeah, I was thinking of going with drag or superbike bars for now until I figure out the rearset issue. You're right, I'd have to roll myself up in the fetal position to run clip-ons with stock foot rests!
