Lucas Oil Stabilizer

I have a 74 Cb550. I have heard a lot about how well Lucas Oil Stabalizers work in car and truck engines. I have used it in my SUV and I love the stuff. I know they have a stabilizer for bikes also, has anyone tried these in their vintage bikes? Any thoughts or opinions on the usage of additives in oil?

I have used the Lucas break in oil with the ZDDP in my bike, It is good for protecting the cam and valves in the older engines. I add a little each time the oil is changed as the new oils don't have the zinc. If the bike stuff has ZDDP (Zinc) in it it would be worth trying. Make sure it is wet clutch safe too.

Never bothered with anything like this, and it may not be helpful with your CB's wet clutch.

Typically you want as simple an oil as possible, without all the fancy stuff. I wouldn't bother with any additives.

Why do you want to put that in your engine?
