I was drunk and in the mood to make some poor life choices... It was either nominate your bike or nail a crack-whore in a truck stop bathroom. :D
The fact that ya built it for under $600 is one of the main reasons I nominated it. Super cool man.
 
Wow, Thanks guys! I gladly accept! This proves to me I made the right choice in my purchase!

I had it shipped to me here at the north pole, I hade to do a little work on her once she got here.

I have since had my elves fit her with some studded tires and I had to add a few zip ties to tidey up some of the wires. I may have to do some tuning on the carb too, we will see!

As most of you have most likely figured, this whole thing is a joke, an exercise to push a point!

I will not be entering that monstrosity of a bad motorcycle christmas nightmare!

I could never put a bike in the BOTM competition that was not built by the member.

Too many very nice bikes that were in some way or another worked on by the member, who researched on this site, got advise from other members, and posted their progress here for others.

Builders put a peice of themselves into their product and that is what BOTM at DTT should really be about! Giving that member or members a chance to show the fruits of their labor through the work and support of the site! SwapmeetLouie, whitexk, Rawfish, and Squirley deserve the right to BOTM, and I would not want to take up a spot that some other deserving member should get!

I hope this point was driven home by this exercise, and no one's feelings got hurt. If they did, maybe you are at the wrong forum!

That's why I seconded the SR...
... somebody did a nice job on that bike, someone else
nominated it, and I don't give a damn if builder/owner
have matching names...

Not this again... :mad: Just make the damn SR BOTM so this will end. Sorry guys. This is enough. Can we get back to building, admiring, helping, etc...?
 
^ Agreed! Let the people's actions speak! Just nominate, second, and vote! We will see who gets there!

I will let it be know that as for me, I will never nominate, second, or vote for a bike that the owner did not do at least some of the mods themselves and is not an active member of this community!

I hope the other members here feel the same! I know plenty that do and that is my DTT family!

Damn straight, at the end of the day people can nominate whatever they want. Whether or not it gets voted for by us in the BOTM poll is a different matter. Previous polls have shown us that its usually a very tight race; and thats with bikes that everyone 'agrees on'.

So lets all sit back and chill out.

Second for Black Motor Covenant. It's a really original bike, an I've definitely gotten a lot of inspiration from it.
 
I can't believe nobody seconded Louie's bike! It's tough to even find a bike for under $600, let alone build one

Any volunteers to compile the list of nominees and links to their builds for tired ol' me? Would be appreciated if someone wanted to gather them up. I think we've gathered a good field and it's 1/2 way through the month so it's time to start voting!

This is the finest field yet! Difficult decisions await all of us voters. This is the first month where any one of these bikes could get my vote just as easily as any other. Excellent bikes guys!
