Master Cyliner onto Clubmans? CB750F

Been Around the Block
Hey guys, I finally got some clubman bars to put on my CB750F SS and for some reason never thought about everything fitting on these little bars! I've seen these on a thousand CB's out there so just assumed that the grip\throttle\MC all fit just fine. But as you can see below...not so much. The throttle and grip are down to the very end of the bar, so that's as far as they can go.

Anyone else have this issue? Did you just get a new throttle\MC? Any tricks?

All the one's I've seen have the bars tilted down so the MC bolt slots in under the gauges. If that's not possible for you, you might need to get another MC (IE more modern / shorter) to replace the original. You'll need to get one the same bore size if you do this.

Or run drag / superbike bars.

I had a similar problem on my sr250. I just played with the angle of the bars to get clearance, the final position gave me about 1mm clearance between the gauges and the banjo. Basically fitted it all loose and played with the angle of the bars and lever to get the best fit.

Check the the last pics on my blog to see the angle I ended up with. Good luck!

Hey thanks for the replies guys! I'm currently researching some alternative MC's and throttles as well that might be better. I might even be able to get one off an old GSXR!

For tonight though I'll go home and play with the bar angles. I did try them in a couple of different positions (without anything on them) to find this to be the most comfortable spot. But I guess if women can suffer in high heels all day I can deal with bars in an offset position in order to RIDE!!
