Mikuni 32 VM Needle jet small brass insert HELP

You know that small brass bar that only lets you insert the needle jet a certain way. You have to line up the grooves of the needle jet with it. Mine fell out and I can't find it any where. I've been googling diagrams looking for a part number for a while now. Does anybody know a good way to fix this??

It aligns with the slot on the right hand side of the pic

If the locating pin is lost, I'd be looking at ways to drill a small hole in through the body of the carb slightly smaller than a roller bearing or a piece of steel rod. Cut off a small piece as a pin and carefully press it in.

Ah, that piece.
Try local model shop or weldors.
1/16" brass rod, power drill and fine file
You may have to buy a foot of brass for less than 1/8" you need but it should be less than $1.00

Yeh, it's the pin he's missing. He should be able to get a length of small diameter (1.5 - 2mm I guess ) from the local hardware store or model shop - I hadn't thought of that. Good idea PJ.

He just needs to get a diameter that's smaller than the slot and drill a hole that's a little tight, or secure it with JB weld.
