Mixture Screw issue

Hi All

I have a weird problem with my carb. I swapped out the pilot jet and went to retune the mixture. The carb is a Molkt 26mm with an air screw. All was fine before I swapped the
jet.

I can stall the idle by richening the mix but when I lean it out beyond 1 turn out i get no response. Leaning out the screw has no effect to the point where I can pull out the screw and it still idles.

I pulled the carb and stripped it down. Cleaned the jets, holes, checked float all good.

Still the same problem.

Swapped the jet back to the previous one and still the same.

Any ideas?

You may have a airleak some place that makes the carburator use main system not the idle jet.
see if the trottlestop is turned in a lot.
and try spraying some starting-gas around the intake boots to se if the engine changes speed.
