More cb360 issues

Ground Pounded
Hello again

Recently had a valve tick and had to replace a tappet adjuster on the right side exhaust valve. Did a static timing check, gapped my points, re tuned my idle and adjust my valve clearance. And boy did she rip! But now it my valve tick is back with a vengance! It seems everytime i take her out, the tappet adjusters fall out of adjustment and the nasty tick comes back. Its gotten to the point where i have to readjust every time i go out to ride. Can anyone shed some light on to why this happens?

Thanks in advance!

Probably not getting the right torque on the locknut. Also, make sure you're not over tightening too. There should be no free play either. So while loose, make sure there is no wiggle. I've had the same issue on my 360. They like to be just right. It's really best to get the tappet tool, as it's difficult to get it right with a screwdriver and a 10mm wrench.

Yeah i think i probably have over tightened them. I know for a fact that they arent too loose. Ill try again today after work. Thanks for the quick reply deviant 8)

I'm only posting to find out if there will be any extra thoughts on this ;D

Sorry pj. Never got around to figuring out the issue. A kid from town offered me a good deal of money for the cj so i sold it. Since then ive bought a cx500 for under $1000 and have been throwing work into it. She carries my fat ass (250lbs) around a little better : 8)

Congrats on the cx500. Highly revered amongst certain DTT members ;D

I have to know, were the tappets getting loose or getting tight after running it?

They were loosening up. The kid who bought the bike brought it to his uncle who is supposedly a honda twin mastermind so hopefully i could have aome more info on it soon. Im just glad its gone to someone wholl appreciate it.
