More powerful Master for Cb900c

Anything better I can pull the stock one off and replace with on my 81 cb900c? I have dual discs up front so a better way to route the brake lines (rather than the 1 line into the splitter, then two from there) Would be great as well.

Looking for more of sport bike looks on the master, if that helps.

Universal is not at all what you want for a brake master
Really have to watch with what DCC will just work.

First off you need to know what you are working with STOCK.
What are you looking for as far as and upgrade? is everything working 100% as it should?
I would be willing to bet that the $130 bucks DCC wants for some master is better spent on braided lines and HH rated pads for the stock set up. Also im not sure about on the C, as its not at all a performance unit, but are they upgradeable to the twin piston calipers like the rest of the DOHC hondas?

It will tell you what ratio you need.

The reason for the change is the stock master is in horrible shape.

Im not sure if they can be upgraded to twin piston or not, but everything seems to be working great other than the master is badly corroded.

The brakes work ok, just the master is ugly, and not much power.

I plan to do new master, all braided lines (even for the rear) and new pads, better calipers would just be a plus :D
 
Just pick up a used GSXR/CBR/whatever master off ebay. Braided lines like surffly said.

What do you mean?

The master and the calipers must be at a cretin ratio to work, that info is in the chart.
If you search around you will find that some people run the OEM twin piston calipers from some of the DOHC hondas, i myself run them on my SOHC 750 and have a write up on how to do the swap.

Rear is the same thing.

Really the core question if "why"?
If your master is really un rebuildable then replace it with a good used/rebuilt master and then rebuild/upgrade the stock brakes with new and better pads, braided lines.

I cant see going crazy with the brakes on your bike. You should have the best working OEM brakes that you can though.
The C is a faux chopper and cruiser bike. Use it for what it is. Learn what you can with it. but if you are trying to get some performance out of it then you are better off to sell it and buy something more suited to that task
 
I have a 82 that I bobbed the rear fender on, smaller signals, etc, I may change the bars to sport bike bars. I have an extra donor bike if you need parts. Even the master cylinder if you need it.
