Just goes to show, money doesn't buy taste. Another hand-built monstrosity:

There are mercifully few pictures of the bike.

Nice touch!

I'm trying to decide if hand-formed copper is worse for form or for function. Those rims are as useless as they are ugly.

whats worse than a hand build monstrosity? The jackass that buys it, who thinks its soooo awesome, and assumes he has a motorcycle worth every penny he paid. Even tho it was built to be looked at and than, when it breaks after being ridden, they bring it to me a actual mechanic who sees how crappy the engineering is (or lack-there-of) and you tell them what all has to be done to make it street worthy and than they flip shit. OR just get pissed off that after bringing the bike in after hours, showing up the next day only 3 hours after the shop opens and gets p/o'd enough to get into a yelling match with the owner of the shop because we didn't hustle his bike up to the front of our work load because hes "somebody" with a 40 or 50 thousand dollar piece of shit.

that or the guy who doesn't want to spend any money on the bike, because they paid so much and are having to fix it an gets pissed off when you rig it to make it work because they wont buy new parts. we had a guy who had a chopper and the wire harness was shot (if the gas tank was wiggled the lights would blink ect) and the break light didnt work. if anyone worked on old school Harleys they know how crappy the front break light switch can be. It was busted so i told the guy the easiest way to fix this was replace it, and machine where it mounts or the lever itself. The previous mechanic had a peice of balsa wood as a spacer. i told the guy that and he didnt want to fix it. than a month later when one of the blinker and break light stops working he comes in and gives the boss a royal ass reaming because one of his mechanics put a peice of balsa wood as a spacer. when i did the work i pulled it apart noted the issues, when he didnt want to fix it i put it back how it was, didnt even charge the guy for working on that particular item, and made it work as best as it would as is.

i love choppers and would build one. i would even go so far as to build them to sell. but it wouldnt be anything like that bike.

More 1% excesses. Does the world really need more steampunk ie Wild Wild West type art works? It is not really a functional motorcycle and as art it's questionable, so what is it?

It's conspicuous consumption of overpriced items to somehow add status to those with warped sense of value.

I don't like to knock other people's bikes, but the whole "most expensive..." label rather begs for a reality adjustment in my mind at least. Is this what our culture is coming too as it descends into chaos. In many ways, the whole exercise is useful in that it reminds teh rest of us that this thing is so far from what grew the US into an economic powerhouse.

It's just a poor example of bad taste showing off.

It's also the opposite end of the spectrum from the healthy "do more with less" approach that permeates this forum.

Yeah, I'm all for a DIY personal aesthetic, making something your own by building the parts yourself. And who's to say if something that breaks from convention is crap?

Oh wait, I am. It's crap. I don't feel like a bike snob calling out junk.

Some parts of it are cool, but the seat and wheels...... I do like the gauges all over it, has a boat feel. I dont know how that is the most expensive bike in NYC, honestly I rather have something the teutals made

if they spent so much money on it, the least they could have done would have been to take a decent picture of it. Is there a picture of the entire bike anywhere or did I miss it?

Jackass with the baseball bat and tie sums it up. I also saw a picture of Kenny Anderson wife and there too. Too hip for me.

Theres nothing there we couldnt do...

My bike is for sale for $300,000. Who wants to buy the most expensive bike in Canada?

Yeah well I have to walk past this piece of shit every day. That place doesn't actually sell anything they sell, clothes ($$$$ leather jackets) accessories, bikes, anything. It's some rich tools clubhouse, period, I wouldn't give it any more than it deserves by thinking about it more than as long as it takes to see it in the window.....

anyone got an empty bottle, some gasoline and matches, and piece of rag sitting around?

wait, we all do, were mechanics ;)
