Its been a long road, of not so many ups and lots of downs, but I think I finally have the bike sorted out, as far as running and riding is concerned.

Can anyone help, when I give her gas at first start up, the engine cuts out. If it starts and runs, I have to wait about 45 seconds before I can give it gas, or it will cut out. so its tough to start, but idles perfect and revs just great otherwise. Pulls really well!!

sounds like something that would happen to me on my old cb750 when/if I left the choke on and tried to throttle.. it would die on me..
Dumb question but is the choke off when you give it gas and it cuts out?

sounds like a carb problem to me...
