MotoFiaccone Bike Raffle

Hi All:

As some of you know, my best friend broke his neck. He is (was) an off duty cop at a pub enjoying a pint with his dad when he attempted to break up a fight.

The guy has four kids and a wife, and will basically never return to work. He does have slight arm movement and some tingles in his feet, but that's about it.

I'm donating my first cafe racer to a fundraiser event that takes this Sunday from 2-8PM at the 51st Street Speakeasy:

1114 NW 51stOklahoma City, Oklahoma

If you live in the area, it would be great if you can make the event, as the funds are going to help a great person whom finds himself in an unfortunate situation. Tickets can be bought here: http://www.ticketstorm.com/event/chadpeerybenefit/51ststreetspeakeasy/oklahomacity/6762/ I'm not organizing the event, but I *think* they are selling 40 tickets at $100 each for the bike. Then there will be a raffle.

Bike pics can be found here: http://www.bikeexif.com/honda-cl350-cafe-racer and

Thanks for checking out the thread.

Chris - any info on a trust fund or something setup for people to donate to?

Chris I am so sorry to hear about your friend man... $ sent to pay pal just now... all my best... HIS face book page is full needs to be opened for more friends and we can all add this to our facebook home page i know my cop buddies would all be in to donate as well... honor what you are doing man. very nice of you... may have to buy me a ticket!

Hi Joe:

That's real good of you; I appreciate that. I'm reached out to his brother now making the request and should hear something shortly. It would be great if you could post a link to chadpeeryfund.org on your FB and send it out to your cop friends. I also sent the general donation PayPal (donate@chadpeeryfund.org).

Anyone who helps is much appreciated. I was trying to raise awareness in the OKC market for the event, not really sticking my hand out. But the generosity is appreciated.

--Cheers, Chris

PS Life's short Gents. Make the most of it!

done and done... my buddy posted this info on the firehouse wall and in the station board as well. hope it helps man.

That's amazing! Thanks for that. It would mean a lot to me if you could see about texting me a pic of that. I know his family would really appreciate it.

This may have already been posted, but for those of us who don't live close is there any way to still buy a raffle ticket?

Im also wondering this. I looked through the webpage and didnt see anything.

Hi there gents:

Unfortunately, you have to be present. This event came together really quickly, and I was not involved. It's just so close to the event and there are a lot of things up in the air. Ideally, the tickets (or auction; I still don't know what they're doing) would be available to anyone, and the winner would coordinate delivery. There is accounting (perhaps even international), shipping, etc. that I don't think the event guys thought of.

If you'd like, I can put you in contact with one of the coordinators and you can chat about the possibility with them. Maybe they would be willing to bid/buy tickets on your behalf and coordinate getting you the bike.

At the sake of sounding shallow, I would love to have a shot at owning a bike like that for acouple hundred bucks.

I like your style. you should head to the event and try your chances.

Hi All:

First, thanks so much for all the support. The family got a ton of individual donations, and I very much appreciate it. Thanks for that!

Overall, the event was a success. My little cafe was a higher grossing item and pulled in $3k for the family. So that makes me happy. They did it as a raffle selling 30 tickets for $100 per. As the drawing neared, I pressured my friend, who owns the Speakeasy and was hosting the event to by a ticket. Well, he ended up winning.

I made off like a bandit by winning a $3k private hunting trip for $600, so I'm well happy.

After everyone left and it was just us friends, Chad ended up coming by. It was good to see him again.
