I can't make it out on my phone, but what kind of bike is it? And welcome to DTT!

The DTT favourite, CB350. Looks like it's being built by a girl. Hope she sticks around.

Yes its a cb 350 and yeah Im a girl and along as thiis forum is legit and their are some cool peeps I will stick around, so far it seems like my teardown is going well kinda slow bc its negative degrees where I live but it works and I plan on being able to cruise by the end of spring. I bought my cb350 at a salvage yard fully intact for 90 bucks.

Rad... What direction are you planning on going w/ it?

EDIT: Just read the title, Says 1st Cafe.... I'm not smart

Nice find. After I finish my CJ360 build, I'm thinking about a CB350 or CB450. No shortage of aftermarket parts for those things. They tend to be very popular among vintage racers.

Thanks I plan on making a cafe rider with some modern twists, although I would like to keep it as stock as possible as in spoke rims and the engine as stock. The town I live in is dominated by sport bikes and harleys so I wanted to make something a bit more attention grabbing. I have never ridden a bike like this I have a gxsr 750 and a quad so this is a bit new to me but Im down for the challenge.

It will be very tame compared to your gsxr. But I think you'll still dig it. There is something more to riding a machine that you built. More Pride involved for sure...

Yeah... that's the same reasons I went café on my build; too many choppers out there. This is actually the first bike I've owned and I wanted to do something with it. Stock just never seems good enough.

Cool another member and another build to follow. Welcome to DTT. Negative degrees...it was -22 below where I'm from the other day but when you have a bike in pieces spring will come before you know it

Yeah I think it will be fun to cruise around town and what not with a Cb, what is the top stock speed on these ? Im not planning on racing mine just having a ridiculously cool ride, thanks for the input so far guys :) .

The spec on the CB350s was either 97 or 102mph... I can't remember. Without digging into the engine for at least a top-end rebuild, you could probably get up to 80-85 if you are lucky. That's my experience and others with CBs in the flat state of Indiana.

Also what year is the bike..cb350? Plus make sure you got a good clean title i just got mine registered after like a year of BS with the dmv...they finally just gave me a plate last week.

You're welcome. I'm getting ready to cafe a 73 CB350 and rebuild a 71CL350 this spring. I'm doing my research now until I can start once it's warmer. I've got a huge list of stuff (cuz I don't know anything) I need to organize and post.

I figure once you know (almost) everything, then you can make an accurate assessment on what you need to do with the mechanics, cost, and how you want it to look. I also have a tendency to go overboard on the research end of things though.

It says 72 on the ltd sticker but i bought it at a salvage yard so i might have troubles getting a title.

Worst case, you buy a titled frame off ebay for a $100
