My 1st Cafe Rider Build *lots of pics*

Just try a couple different DMVs. I got mine without a title and just brought it around until I found a guy that was lazy. He just checked to make sure the frame and engine VINs matched my bill of sale. Then he just entered the info in the computer and I was good to go. :)

It says 72 on the ltd sticker but i bought it at a salvage yard so i might have troubles getting a title.

Your bike is a 73 CB350G, last year of the model with front disc brake.

Looks like it is 105, although a lot of spec pages on the net say 102.5mph. I had to break out the 250/350 honda shop manual again to be sure.

I overpaid for mine at a local shop cuz I wanted to build a relationship with the guy... he answers all my questions when he's not busy, kinda cool. It's good to support the local shops when you can. $26/kit when you only use 1/2 the parts might change your mind though.

It's not 105... I've built 5 or 6 of these.

ebay is your friend and so is Dime City Cycles, really good guys who actually wrench on these old machines and know every nut and bolt on them. If you want good parts with even better service, ask those guys and they will get you what you need and inform you of every aspect of it!

A little cruddy but all there, and the engine seems nice and clean! Should be no problem, I have seem many on here a lot worse than that, that have become real gems! You can make a nice bike from that for sure!

You mean like "how to" pics/vids? Haven't seen any like that.

While there are plenty of pics in the manual (which I'm sure you have, right?), they usually aren't the best quality. Best I can think of are some of the builds on here. And when in doubt, just post a pic on here. Im sure somebody will help ya out.

Sweet deal, Im on the same boat. First build CB350F dove in head first. It starts to become an addiction, just make sure to eat in between the hours of rebuilding. LOLz :p. By the way tWistedWheels knows his sh#t and has been a huge help on this noob. Doesnt hurt that hes building the same bike :) . GL with your project.

When you rebuild your carbs, DO NOT buy a "keyster" kit. They suck. Look on EBAY or at the dealership, Dime City, etc. and piece together what you need. I highly suggest finding a factory Honda manual. (Also an Ebay deal)

Being your first bike I would highly suggest NOT tearing the engine down. Clean it up, check tolerances, and replace the top end gaskets. It can get real complicated and expensive when you start taking a motor apart.

And as far as top speed, the fastest Ive ever gotten a mostly sock 350 was into the upper 80s. Youll need some real weight shaved and performace bits added for much more. The high end 350 race bikes barely run at 105.
