thanks for the comments guys.

MB the tires are Shinkos. They're 16 x 450 I believe. it's pretty much the only double WW out there.

Joe, we nixed the starter which meant we only needed something to power up the coils. I'm running the headlight/taillight off the alternator. so that allowed us to use a small battery (believe it's a 3amp) that I was able to squeeze into the stock toolbox.

credit where credit is due - Benji at BCR made the tank and exhaust. lack of time and tools meant I had to farm those out and I'm glad I did.

been working on an xs650 since Jan. I'll post some pics on that in the next few weeks.

looks awesome. I've seen those same pictures elsewhere many times over. Saved some to my computer as inspiration. Great looking bike! That's a 4.00 up front right? How do you like how it handles? I've been given an 18" wheel recently and got a new 4.00 on the way.

it doesn't really handle all that well but i didn't really build it to be sporty. and by that i mean it corners fine but you probably won't drag any knees. 18 x 4 - be careful depending on your fork width you may get some rubbing. good luck.

wow. that's a great looking bike! I'm not totally down with your thinking, but you sure know how to build a good lookin' motorcicle ;)

cheers

i can't imagine a 4" tire possibly rubbing on stock forks...that would be an insane amount of heat expansion for rubbing to occur.

putting the drama from the botm thread aside, forgotten, dead and gone, i really like the bike man, i think you nailed the look. seems like alot of fun to cruise on, and credit to you for giving recognition to bcr, i respect that.
any way, again, wanted to say what great bike!!!

quick question about the battery, how small exactly? and are you also running a capacitor?
