I think you did alright for 30 quid. The engine must be worth that if it turns over. Best of luck with the project.

Re: my cafe racer project cj 250 ********************************

used pj high temp for the motor and and yoke went over it with a crome spray dont now how it will hold but the pj should act as a primer dont no what make crome i used just had it for years with no label as for the black frame went with a black primer and it justs used PLASTCOTE for a top but its had about 7 coats i have used the same with my outher frames and its held up good but the key is in the prep i think

Re: my cafe racer project cj 250 ********************************

i got my mito forks to day and where a bitch to fit just need some axel shims making up and maby a new stearing tube made up ill sort the brakes next witch i still need to get . shaped my mold for my seat and i played around with the shitty motocross seat and it turned out ok i think. got it all mounted . i think i will go with it was really quick to do and easy to mount . strong and light i think i will even buy anouther of ebay for my kz as thay sell for about 5 pounds as it has good pading and seat cover. so it turned out good with some choping maby the mx seat was a good idea after all ? and it just come to me that i have some 5 spoke black nsr wheels think i will give them a try but would stick with spokes as that was my plan in the first place any one like to swop my cj front wheel with disc for a drum wheel ? and could some one plz tell me what the biggest size rear tire i could fit in the stock swing arm as on it now is a 130 witch is new that was on the bike when i got it but eyeing it up looks to big. fits in the swing arm easy but looks like chain might not fit . any one tryed it thanks

What is glass paint?

Thanks, CC

it the stuff you paint your glass doors or anything glass stained glass windows ect but its only good if its polished first then put on you can put a top coat of clear to make it stronger to stand up to chips ect but i have never needed it i used the brush kind use it on things like wheel spacers , hubs, anything you can sometimes get it in diy shop but i get good stuff from a craft shop about 4 pound and theres lots of colours and you can recoat to make it darker if needed

i like the progress you are making. things are turning out well. keep up the good work. have fin with the ignition points and what not. did that thing sit at the bottom of a lake?
i have to ask though.....are those monkeys playing roulette in the top picture?

later,

ryan
