My first build 77' Suzuki GS550 Brat

Hey I'm Parker,

I picked up a 77' gs550 a couple months ago for my first bike. I've been slowly turning it into a brat style bike over the summer. She's getting there, still needs a little bit of tuning, cleaning up/hiding the wires and some welding and custom mounting and painting a dentless cb tank, but she's getting there. Its definitely been fun learning about all this moto stuff and getting my hands dirty and doing everything myself.


This is what she looked like when i got her.

And this is a photoshop version of what I'm hoping she will end up looking like. The color will be similar to this but not exactly and the tank and seat will be level to each other.

well congratulations you did a mostly fantastic job !! you did not slam the seat down onto the frame which 99.9 % of the time interferes with the suspension
the only issue i see is the oversized tires on the stock rims are actually a huge mistake they make for badly degraded road holding
if you must run OS tires,then you must lace-up wider rims
