I'm watching. I have a '79 that I thought I would sell, but after seeing some ARMA Vintage races this weekend, I may keep it and race it. My wife really wants to hit the track now. I'd love to see a 95lbs women on a race ready 125, and see her kick some ass.
Did a little research and found out I can use CB350 parts to convert my bike to be 12v My new clutch and throttle cables should be in at Seesee's Motorcycles tomorrow, I think I am going to pick up a set of clubman bars aswell
Moved the bike indoors and finally got to work on it a little bit, also picked up a set of clubman style bars and a nice cone filter since I wont be running the factory air box. I also found a great new local parts source, just gotta take a day and go paw through the bins and piles of parts to find the little things. Went to install the new clutch cable and throttle cable and noticed the the clutch linkage on the side of the case didnt seem to engage or disengage so I pulled off the case and saw that clutch linkage was indeed not doing anything as the little arm wasnt touching the clutch fork. Gonna find a new gasket and put it all back together this weekend. Anyways heres a new picture for the day
Your tank looks just like mine, so unless they're both swapped, I would guess that it's a CB tank. I also wouldn't bother with swapping to the disk up front. I've got it and would honestly probably rather just have a drum. These cable actuated disk brakes aren't worth too much when it comes to stopping, and I've even got new EBC pads.
