Just don't you love polishing ;D my problem is that the more i do the more is see wrong and go back over it again and again just have to except that it'll never be perfect. Picked a great bike for a build and one that is trashed/thrashed is the best, there must be a dozen 450 builds going on and another dozen finished on the site, no pressure but what's the target date mine was 2 months ago :. Keep the pics a coming!
That is so true with the polishing, once you pop you cant stop. The hardest thing I find with the CB450 is that no-one in Sydney wants to do any work on it (the mechanical side of it). Sydney City Motorcycles (Lancove) wouldn't even look it for a blue slip. I was lucky enough to have found a local mechanic in the area who blue slipped it for me, they only blue slip them not work on them, which suited me just fine I must admit I'm finding my way around this bike quite easily with the help of this site and others. If I was to put a date on this project I would have to say Nov, Dec..
She is a beated up old thing, it'll be like the ugly duckling story. I think we all know the end to that fairy tale ;D
Thanks, I got them powder coated yesterday in Matt Black. The rims are in the shop getting trued as well as tyres fitted. I hope to hell they look after my babies
Those wheels are looking outstanding. What size sport demons are you running and are the rims stock CB450? I have the sport demons on my Interceptor and really like them, but did not think they came in sizes to fit my CB450 cafe project.
They seem to be pretty sturdy and not much movement once Ive tightened them up. I got them from eBay, come to think of it, all my parts have been bought from eBay. I think I should get number plates reading [eBay] on my bike. The only thing that wasn't bought from eBay would be my Tank and Seat, thats coming from BCR.
