Oh, good. Awsome bike. How long have you owned it? What model and year did it start out as?

Very very nice - I really need to get a set of swept back headers for my project. Somehow I don't think the Norton headers will fit my XS650 engine.

VERY nice machine!

I love those old beauties, but I don't know that I'd have the patience (or $) to own one. Are they as fussy as their reputation says they are?

Thanks guys, she's a 66 Atlas 750 w/ matching numbers. The pipes mate up to the exhaust port with a 1-15/16x14tpi O.D. threaded exhaust retaining nut holding a copper dough nut in compression between a flare on the end of the pipe and a flat within the exhaust port. The pipes came in both 1 3/8 " and 1 1/2" diameters if I remember correctly.

Very nice, most of the Norton's I've seen here in Seattle are either in stock original condition or restored. I like yours better.

When I just started out with my Enfield project, I used to scan the net looking for cafe's. And your bike was one of the stuff I looked at. I always loved the Norton tank. Its a perfect Cafe Tank. Don't think any other tank comes close to the classic cafe tanks from Norton. Are you quite tall?! You've raised the seat ???

Wow thanks guys I really appreciate all the kind words! As a matter of fact I am a taller guy(6'5") which is why I had to raise the seat. I also fit custom length works shocks (13.75") and longer Commando fork tubes (23") to give the bike a little height. In regards to reliability it's certainly not in the same category as a German or Japanese bike would be. However as long as your familiar with all of the little idiosyncrasies, wet sumping, tickling carbs, etc she's a fairly reliable machine.
