I like bare-metal tanks, but I think I might have thrown this one out if it looked as nasty as that. I admire your perseverance ;)

Ringo, I don't recognize ou from the 400 set. Whats your name there?

Bikeboy, the tank took more time than the whole bike build in its entirety. But soon.I'm happy now. You'll see the tank

Here's an update photo. it will be finished over this weekend.

Thought the .38 Specials add a nice fighter touch.

Ringo. :) Same as here. My 400 build is long finished and about to be sold though, so I'm not on there much at all.

If I recall, I was the one giving you a hard time about trying to make the 400 produce the same power as the xs650. ;)

Anyways, lookin good!

So Ringo, what you ridin or building now. Shoot me a pic or a link to your 400. This not a streetfighter in the true sense, kind of halfway between a cafe and SF. I just like the gaitors look and they protect the fork tubes from road debris. I fished the tank today and will mount it and ride tomorrow.

Jim, my builds are in my sig; I made them all links for easy browsing.

That tank looks great! Nice work.

Nice work Ringo those XS750/850 standard tanks are awesome I used one on my XSRoadster 650 build and I like the green as well. here's some pics of those two builds.

Great builds, Jim. I especially like that 650. Beautiful motors to start out with, but the blacked out/polished treatment really does it for me. Lots of really neat details in there...

Funny how much bigger the 750 tank looks on my little 400 compared to your 650!
