my sr500

bought a sr500 last year and this is how it looked like when i picked her up. i had so much fun on it that i sold my cbr ;D

after some clip-ons, new seat, headlight, gauges, etc, it now sits in my garage looking like this

i still have some stuff to do on the bike (i.e. grips) but this is pretty much how it's going to look this upcomming season.

i have the alloy tank, but i'm growing attached to the stock tank, so i'm debating on whether or not i should keep it.

ok, stupid question(raises hand in embarassment)... what is the cap with a guage on the backbone?... is the backbone used as an oil tank?

it's an oil dipstick, i have another one from daytona i'm going to put on but i'm gonig to do it when i put on the tank on as well.

did you even get that CDI ignition installed? does it help with getting the bike started?

I have no idea actually.. its still sitting in my cabinet with the oil cooler... The CDI in the bike is working fine so I've been too lazy to put it on... Perhaps this spring... After I fixed my wet sump problem, the bike always starts on the 2nd kick!!

took her out a couple weeks ago when the weather was nice and couldn't be more happy with her. starting to get use to kickstarting as well. needless to say, it's definitely different from my old cbr ;D .
