-paint gauge bezels and remount
-replace headlight bulb
-cover seat foam with vinyl
-buttoning anything else

more excited than I can explain once its completely done Ill do a proper shoot of the bike and post up. I appreciate your support and reading / looking at the thread.

sorry Ive been away for a bit in Chicago and without a computer however the bike is 99.8% complete. I need to get new fuel line and a headlight bulb(if anyone has the correct size I need that would be lovely) So here is the updates on the bike as it is right now. Ill try to be chronological.

This is the vinyl we decided on

that high density foam is like sitting on a rock. get something else to get used to.

Phil was able to get the gauges a little bit lower which I was stoked on. The bolts that held the gauges in place were I believe spot welded however we were able to get them re-mounted with simple hardware and they look a lot better IMO

here is the finished product before I do an official shoot.

Im super pleased with this build even though I didnt get my hands super dirty. Phil did a great job for his first cafe build. The dude knows his stuff just all around. I wanted to take this time to thank him for all of his work and being a stand up dude...although he'll call me a hipster and I need to eat meat yadda yadda..it was good working with him.

Once I get the bike cleaned up and all Ill get my destination location for a shoot and post more. thank you for reading and the compliments on the bike. Enjoy and have an awesome day.

I had some ideas for Justin Lim to pin stripe on the gas cap "Think Twice" and I had debated getting a "79" on the rear cowl section. It was my BMX racing number. I was that kid who put baseball cards in his spokes to make my bike like a motorcycle...and some 25 years later I have a motorcycle, damn that was cheesy. I have a large appreciation for hand painted stuff now a days.

I wanted to go with a very era specific style of number. Justin and I had sketched these out.

If any of you are looking to have some painting done and are willing to ship items or travel to Fort Wayne Indiana I can get you more info.

daaaang man, i love the black, white, and blue together! i really like how all three colors are on the tank and tail, but in different proportions. got any full shots of the bike now that it's been striped? and does your buddy who did it have a website or anywhere to see some of his other work?

thank you. I do not have full shots of the bike yet. Im still waiting to find the right place to shoot it. my bike is being stored 2.5 hours away from me so it makes it hard for me to get there to shoot it. Im sure that makes sense. I chose the blue and the black to go with the helmet Justin painted for me which can be seen here along with his info.

I like how CSi took over the last posts. I know Im really slacking on the final build images. Its been super cold in Indiana. Id like to think come spring it will be warm enough and we'll be solid.

thanxx again.

Love those numbers. I plan to get my racing numbers put on my T500 rear cowl when the time comes. I also plan to run a similar style font to what you have on your bike, my cowl is polished aluminum and the numbers will be gold metalflake (body) with black outline. I might hit your guy up when the time comes. Incidentely my number is the reverse of yours #97.
